Although a proud Canadian, 20 years ago, I opened my first Taekwondo school in Germany. This was on invitation from a NATO regiment to teach members of the forces and their families. I also had the opportunity to compete in many of the International Championships then, including the Netherlands the United Kingdom and, of course, Canada.

With this experience I was eventually able to lay the foundations for Taekwondo North, which I am proud to say has been at the heart of your community for over 12 years now. This is without question due to the unparalleled support of you, the parents and your children.

Children have a special place at my school, since they are our future and to teach another parent's child is a very serious responsibility. To see a big smile on your child's face has always be the best reward for me.

I want my students not just to practice Taekwondo, but also to know it's history and understand it's traditions and culture. The success of my advanced students has proven, the concept of educating a strong, reasoning and knowledgeable Taekwondo mind, is supreme to raw force and just kicking. Your success with Taekwondo is what I continually work to improve my own abilities for and together we strive for a greater knowledge.

Today, with more than 30 years devotion to Taekwondo, passing the knowledge on to my students has been exceptionally rewarding for me. I am thankful for what it has brought into my life.
